I haven't seen the inside of a quilt shop in MONTHS and its starting to kill my soul bit by bit. Pathetic, I know. To be fair I've been really busy with work and family situations. So enough of that!
Second best thing: online shopping
Dot prints are always so amazing. Is anyone else drawn to them?
I have to make another baby quilt for a baby girl - the nursery is shades of purple and zebra prints. Any suggestions as to what type of block I should make? Just patchworky? help me...
Gorgeous! Go to block for me is pinwheel but patchworky (love this word) always looks great! ;)
ReplyDeleteMy go to. Block for baby quilts is hourglass. I choose a background and then go scrappy within the color way. And simple cross hatch quilting frames a tiny pinwheel at each block intersection. Have fun!
ReplyDeleteYummy! I love dots, in fact I was marvelling earlier at all the different dots I'd got in my random fabric mixture for my upcoming bee blocks!
ReplyDeleteDarling fabrics. I love the disappearing 9-patch. It's so easy. No "little" pieces to piece and yet it looks kinda complicated and "patchworky".
ReplyDeleteI did a Tiger stripe quilt that looks like zebra in the right colors. It was improv with a few rules as to width so things looked natural. You can totally improv a single stripe of zebras and maybe do the babies name too.
ReplyDeleteYes! I am a polka dot addict! I have a whole drawer busting full of every color you could imagine and I just bought more yesterday online...OMG! Love them!
