Its finally done! Well, the top anyway. Getting this top done was on my life for this months challenge. My single girl is not lonely any more! I pushed hard over the weekend and spent time with her making her feel loved.
It was pretty windy out and taking a good picture was really hard to accomplish.
This is a queen size and the largest quilt that I've made so far. I used Kona Chocolate for the background and Kate Spains Central Park for the rings.
So here's my question to you...what do I use for backing? Should I go with a solid back or try and find some Central Park? Other suggestions? Help me...
Ooohhh! I love it! It turned out beautiful! I'm all about using my stash right now, so I would try and find some coordinating stash to piece for the back.
ReplyDeleteSo glad you got her all tarted up ready to find a mate. As she's nice and bright up front, maybe she needs a plain backing mate to really show off her assets, although you could give him a little strip of bright here and there to show that they're really the perfect match... (oh dear, I really need to get out more!)
ReplyDeleteLooks good! I'm with Katy a lot of solid with some scrapping piecing would be the way to go for me too,
ReplyDeleteLove it! It looks amazing -- great job pushing through and getting it done. I totally agree with Becky on using stash -- do you have anything that might coordinate?
ReplyDeleteAnd here I was going to say find some CP for the back. Even some lighter color blocks would look nice with a pieced CP strip....at any rate, great accomplishment!!
ReplyDeleteI may be with Debbie on this....but CP with a solid would be awesome too. Regardless, congrats on the finish! :)
ReplyDeleteGreat quilt. I could only manage one single block! I'm sure whatever you pick will look fantastic, but I'm leaning towards the crowd, a light solid even Kona snow or Kona Bone or even one of those cross weaves and then add your left over Central park and the dark chocolate,
ReplyDeleteOooh, I have some of the purple/pink colorways of CP if you are interested... swap perhaps?
