On my way to Maryland

My cousin lives in Maryland about 3 hours away from here.  Last August our area was hit by Hurricane Irene.  Just as the storm reached the area a tree fell on my cousins house and put a really big hole in it.  Luckily no one was hurt but the house sustained a lot of damage.  7 months later the house is finally repaired and they have moved back in and had a house warming party.

We headed down to visit and check out his "new" home.  A 3 hour road trip?  Quilt shops on the way?  Yep.  We (we meaning I went in the store and my husband and son sat in the car waiting ever so patiently) stopped at Calvert Quilt Shop in Prince Frederick.

I picked up a yard of each color.  Most of the fabrics weren't speaking to me even though it's a pretty large shop and there were plenty to choose from.

Anyway, we had a great time catching up and it was as if we'd just seen each other a month ago.
