I didnt even notice until I was sewing the last seams and I was chain-piecing so it was a double-whammy.
I dont even know if these are "real" blocks and what the name is but I'm currently calling them O blocks. Then I had a thought about making a bunch of O blocks and turning this scrappy X & + quilt into an X's and O's quilt.
So here comes the real question...would anyone fancy an X's and O's quilt-a-long? If there's enough interest I'll get it started.
oh how fun! I'd at least be interested in hearing about an x and o qal, and possibly following along!
ReplyDeleteCabbage Cathy calls it a hugs block, as in 'hugs and kisses.'

I love this block, Candi! Serendipity, I'd say!
ReplyDeleteOh how to fun to come up with a new look by accident, love the block.
ReplyDeleteI would consider it. I like this spin on the block.
ReplyDeleteWhat a "clever" accident. It makes a great variation on the original block. Joanne
ReplyDeleteLol, oops! It looks totally deliberate though!
