Im a list maker. I love to write them and then cross off the things that have been completed. Lists are made for the grocery store, Target (gotta have a list there otherwise the spending is out of control), trips, phone calls etc. I however dont make lists of my quilting projects and I need to.
Taking forever to make:
Single Girl
Farmers wife (hasnt been worked on in months)
Value hourglass
English paper-pieced hexagons
Swaps:
For the Love of Solids - due the middle of next month. Im going to incorporate this months Challenge using these fabrics. Two birds one stone.
Distant Pickles Rainbow Layer Cake Swap. I've sent my fabrics in and when I get these back I'm going to use them for the Granny Square QAL.
In the pipeline:
You'll see more on this quilt soon. *fingers crossed*
This one has been sitting and waiting patiently for her turn.
Almost done:
I have the backing and binding fabrics now. Just need to baste and start quilting.
I feel like Im forgetting something...
Do you list your projects? Do you have a good method to keep track?
Looks like a great list :o)
ReplyDeleteI've been doing the Winter Stitching List with Sarah at Fairyface Designs and Rhonda at Quilter In The Gap's Finish Along, so I've been keeping up with my lists for sewing quite well this year (albeit things keep getting added ;o) ) Love a good list though :oD
Não faço lista.Porém,faço um pouco de tudo todos os dias, quando vejo estou com 10,15 peças prontas para acabamento.Tenho uma amiga e uma tia que fazem para mim.É isso.Beijos.
ReplyDeleteI do list everything out. I am a positively neurotic list maker. I create an overall list by category, and then further lists (with the same items) by priority. I have a binder that I carry around like a loony person, and in it is several types of calanders. A monthly calander, on which i write approximate goals for different parts of projects. For instance, one week could look like "finish last two blocks, monday. assemble top tuesday. piece back wednesday. baste thursday. quilt friday night. bind on weekend.". i also have daily organizers broken down into 15 minute increments with a to-do list on the side. i list tasks (household and crafty) on the side, and then assign them time slots.
ReplyDeleteit makes me get everythiing done, not forget anything, and do it all on time.
Lists rule! Great sewing list here - it really helps, doesn't it? Do you link with w.i.p. Wednesday? Helps keep me in line! ;-)
ReplyDeleteI love crossing things off lists - and I have to make them or else I'd forget half of what I have to do/get. I have all kinds of "quilty" lists too! Most of them are in different notebooks or on pieces of paper stuck on my bulletin board. Probably not a great method - LOL!
ReplyDeleteyup! list it is for the husband and as for me, my brain in now only on paper. or saddly I would forget.... old has its tole.
ReplyDeleteI do a WIP Wednesday post every week but that only lists projects I intend to work on right now. For projects in the future that I have materials for, I put everything in a ziploc bag and label them. That's the only way I will remember why I bought a certain fabric. Of course, I've left behind the phase where I only bought what I needed and now just stash...
