This month Tanya over at Squares and Triangles is hosting our monthly challenge. Tanya wanted us to work with selvages (I have not idea if Im even spelling it right!). I've never been a selvage saver but I kept a few as I worked on projects recently.

Fabric shopping
I haven't seen the inside of a quilt shop in MONTHS and its starting to kill my soul bit by bit. Pathetic, I know. To be fair I've been really busy with work and family situations. So enough of that!
Second best thing: online shopping
Dot prints are always so amazing. Is anyone else drawn to them?
I have to make another baby quilt for a baby girl - the nursery is shades of purple and zebra prints. Any suggestions as to what type of block I should make? Just patchworky? help me...

My daughter stopped by
As you can see the last two posts were done by my daughter. She had to come home for the weekend and wanted to do a couple of posts for everyone to enjoy. Last year she hijacked my blog and wrote this post. Make sure to check out the tags!
Anyway on to the winner of my last giveaway:
Bobbi!!! She is also looking forward to Chicopee by Denyse Schmidt!
Bobbi has left a new comment on your post "Whew - another giveaway!":
Me too, I want to see Chicopee. I must admit I like Denyse Schmidt a lot now, after our program with her a few weeks ago!

Baby got back
That song is always stuck in my head. I actually walk around the house singing it!
But anyway, I finished up the 2 Pretty in Pink baby quilts last week. Getting a good picture has been bit of an issue. It has been so incredibly hot and sunny and I find that I get better pictures on days where its a bit overcast. These pictures were in taken in full shade and I've had a difficult time lightening them up.
And this one was a bunch of slice and dice. 2" squares and quilting through the white blocks only.
I wish my fake adirondack chairs were pink too!
I had this cute pink and green cheerio fabric. I used a pink gingham as the binding for both quilts. These quilts are the first finishes I've had in a looooong time. It feels so good to be back!
